    Hoi Mario. Prachtige site man,brengt veel herrineringen naar boven,ik ben zelf 42 jaar dus ook die prachtige metaltijd meegemaakt. Ik kom concerten tegen waar ik ook geweest ben zoals het Dynamo open air op de parkeerplaats in Eyndhoven, of het Heavy sound festival in Poperinge met Motorhead en Metallica.Ik kom bandnamen tegen die eigenlijk al uit mijn brein gewist waren.Dus ik ga weer opnieuw op zoek. Maar, ga zo door, ik zal er nog veel plezier aan beleven.

    Mario van Dooren does not sleep he works endlessly on his Website...How could "one man" do all this? maybe he doesnt excist? maybe there are a team of people all calling themselves Mario van Dooren? working twenty-four hours a day?....maybe Mario is three people?...Mario is one?...     Hey Mario,
    thanks for the whise choice of Motörhead and Voivod as your favourite bands, among others no less importants. I want to say that I envy you, but when you was there enjoining those bands in early 80´s, I was just begining to listen rock and heavy. So congratulations, keep on this way. I´m from fuckin´ Brazil and YES - we have a huge Heavy Metal scene here, you should heard about Shaaman, Angra, Sepultura etc...
    My favourite bands is Motörhead, Grave Digger, Exciter, Manowar. My votes of success and everlasting communion with Heavy Metal!!

As far as I'm concerned, it was obvious the article was fake and never should have been picked up as factual, which is why I didn't run it.

    Its soo cool that you got to meet all those people in metal, and go to all those shows..You've been to more shows in a few months then I've ever been to in my entire life. It's different in Europe, where you can get away with putting Gamma Ray on the same bill with Morbid Angel. In the states you really cannot do that, because there is too many factions within the metal scene, and they don't accept each others music even though its all just metal when you come down to it. We try to categorize everything in this country and that leads to having narrow minds. Anyways, check out Twelve Gauge if you can..Good old american thrash metal..

The album is being recorded and produced by Michael Rozon (Melvins, Adrenaline O.D.) at Speed Semen Clove Factory in North Hollywood, CA. "This is going to be our most powerful record to date," vocalist Katon De Pena said. "It's dangerously fast and heavy." The New Age Of Terror will be released this spring on Deep Six Records as well as Hirax's label Black Devil Records on CD format as well as limited edition picture disc. Hirax will headline two U.S. festivals beginning in late April as well as a show at the infamously legendary New York club CBGB, which will be Hirax's first-ever appearance on the East coast. The band will head to Europe in June and July for more festival appearances. Hirax began in Los Angeles in the early 80s, but spent most of their time playing in San Francisco along with Slayer, Metallica, and Exodus, who were all part of the exciting new metal emerging from the Bay area. Their first release was on the compilation Angelican Scrape Attic 7" flexi disc, which was Earache Records first release. They were the only U.S. band featured on the compilation. Hirax signed to Metal Blade Records in 1985 and released two albums- Raging Violence ('85) and Hate, Fear, And Power ('86). Their combination of the heaviness of metal and the speed of hardcore became known as "crossover". They became known and respected worldwide through the metal tape trading underground and their unique sound also influenced many bands for years to come. Hirax released Blasted In Bangkok in 1987 and they disbanded soon after. The original band briefly reformed in 2000 to release El Diablo Negro. The current Hirax lineup is Katon De Pena-vocals, Glenn Rogers- guitar, Dave Watson- guitar, Angelo Espino- bass, and Jorge Iacobellis-drums.
