Hello Metalheadz!!! My name is Mario van Dooren, i'm a 45 year old short-haired headbanger from Berkel Enschot (nearby Tilburg), The Netherlands.
This site is made to show the Metal Maniacs around the world what my interests in Hardrock/Heavy Metal are. It was about 1980 when I first came in real contact with Heavy Metal Music. I saw Motorhead on a TV special and I was lost..... Since that time I'm still looking forward for all kind of hardrock/metal bands and....Motorhead still is my favourite LIVE band.
While I spend so much time and energy in going to concerts & bying CD's i never had the need to play an instrument on my own. It was about 1983 when I started a rehearsal room behind my house (in Tilburg). Because of problems with some neighbours I stopped this after 2 years. During that time I met several local bands and became their sound technician during live performances. In 2001, I also stopped mixing live-gigs because my daily job asked to much time and energy....I still miss it.... I'm glad that this website brings back old memories....and old friends/musicians....watch & sign the guestbook.

These days im filling my sparetime with maintaining this website which has grown to a pretty popular webzine during the last years. I also work as metal-DJ in our local metal-venue 013 in Tilburg. I've been co-organiser for the Tilburg Headbangers Fest for 2 years (2006 & 2007) and last year (2007) I also organised the first edition of my own "Mario's Metal Meeting"......
